Up in the skies ...

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 52; the fifty-second edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. In association with Metro Diaries by "Namrata". To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

THUD THUD THUD !!!!!  banging and barging came a group of beasts, bearing Kalashnikovs and AK-47 . It was a small single bedroom house with a larger backyard. The walls were laden with several cracks, some of them so deep that, even the slightest disturbance would make them to crumble. The air had an imbibed smell of gunfire and smoke.  Long away somewhere, the sound of a rocket swishing was faintly but frequently heard. Sometimes the sound gained intensity, showing the proximity of the weapon fired. The big burly beast like men stomped all over the house searching for its inhabitants. Having searched the small place thoroughly, two men went to the backyard. They grew impatient by the second and one of them spotted an almost out of sight tiny building nearby. It looked somewhat like a small shed. Breaking in by firing at the latch, they were lecherously happy to find a women furtively hiding behind an old abandoned Plymouth. They looked upon each other gloating. One of them took few long strides and grabbed the woman by her long pony. She wailed helplessly knowing well, what she is about to experience in a few minutes. She joined hands to the one above praying all off this to be just a bad dream that she can wake out of. She was desperately waiting for help that she very well knew would never come. She was dragged out from the shed and into the house. She was thrashed, battered, bad-mouthed and what not. The men were ecstatic. Thad just got their prized catch. They immediately started feasting on her.

From behind a rusted empty oil barrel peeped out a pair of eyeballs filled with fear and tears.  The tiny figure sat with his legs folded up to the chest and hands tightly wound around the knees. His hair was short and shabby. His cheeks were moist from several tears wiped and still pouring out endlessly. He was petrified to move even an inch. He could clearly hear his Mother shrieking and weeping her throat out. He was a small little 5th grader just whimpering helpless without the slightest of clue. He remembered just one thing what is mother said finally “ Sit tight and hide, God will Help”  He obeyed her and waited in the same place for more than 2 hours….

 Dear God,

Ammu ma has told me that you are the protector of the whole earth. She told that you live high up in the sky and you can see everything. We also have lot of photos of you in our house. Yesterday many bad men beat Ammu ma very badly. Ammu ma was crying continuously. It would have caused her lot of pain and I too was very afraid. Ammu ma taught me that beating others is a bad habit and that you will punish the ones who beat. Yesterday when they beat Ammu ma you never came and punished them. Krishna Uncle says you will punish them soon. Krishna Uncle lives in our street and is very nice uncle. He took me to his home from the shed yesterday. The men who beat Ammu ma were not there when Uncle came. I was very very hungry and Janani aunty gave me chappathi and Dal to eat. Both Aarthi akka and Parvathi Akka are also very nice and they played with me.. Uncle is now taking me in a big boat to live in another place called India. Aunty and Akka are also coming with us. He tells that our country is not safe now. I don’t know what happened to my home and school and park. There are many bad men with guns, in jeeps and there is always fire and broken buildings everywhere. I don’t know why all are running are crying in the streets.  They are all getting beatings like Ammu ma I think. I dint go to school also for a long time. I don’t know what happened to my friend Sharan and Mythili ma’am in school. I don’t see them at all.  Arjuna appa went to shop last week to buy me chocolate and he did not come back at all. Krishna uncle says that both Ammu ma and Appa are with you. God, I love them both so much and I miss them a lot. I want to play with Appa. I want Ammu ma to feed me while playing and want to hear her song before sleeping. They also Love me so much God. I think you don’t know about all this. So I am writing you this Letter to tell you. I want to be with them in our home. I want to go to school and play in park in the evening after school. Please give them back to me. I am very sorry if have done any wrong. I will be a good boy from now and will never give trouble to them. I am feeling very sad without them. Please give them to me....

The room was brightly lit and extremely well air-conditioned. "Apppppaaaaa", a shrieking voice completely filled with energy and excitement stormed into the room, banging open the door, in the form of a young eight year old. She came in running, and with a  single leap, hugged on to  her dad, who was seated on the cot beside an old metal suitcase, with an old letter in one hand and his lovely daughter tightly held on the other. The lovely voice slowly whispered,  "Appa, Where is God? Y cant I see him at all?". Tears welled from his eyes, but there was no fear anymore. He gently kissed his daughter, his whole life came before him in a flash and still smiling with tears he said "God lives high up in the skies, Ammu. No one can see him, but he can see us all"

BEYOND EVERYTHING…

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 50; the fiftieth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. In association with Soulmates: Love without ownership by Vinit K Bansal. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

Kenneth was staring anxiously at his Facebook news feed on the laptop screen. It had nothing to do with the things on his feed. It was the result of a small single green dot beside the magic name Annie Joseph. He was all nerves. He had just sent “hey” and was glaring at “Seen 18:07”.First Impression is always the best, his mind quietly kept saying. Kenneth was not the exact playboy material. He was reserved when it came to girls. He dint know to flirt nor did he know to just sweep someone off their feet. He was actually quite inferior. To sum it all, he was no Bradley Cooper. Not even quite near.

Likewise, Annie was not the queen among girls. She had the traditional looks, not exactly the ultra-modern, up-to-date one. She had a subtle elegance for which Kenneth fell. It was not exactly love at first sight. He wasn’t that kind of a guy. But something happened when he saw her. Something like a small tickle, a little touch, something very nice. He loved the feeling.

The journey that started with a “Hey” travelled steadily for several months. He started knowing things about her. Her branch of study, her class, her tastes, likes, dislikes etc. He totally admired her simple yet gorgeous dressing style, felt her smile when it formed a small little dimple for just a micro second, took delight watching her walk though it wasn’t the most gracious. The Facebook chat grew and they occasionally started meeting for lunch in college and took walks just rambling about things. He totally loved her small forehead and the way it used to form random patterns when she spoke frantically about something. And….Ahh, the eyes, those pair of dark black pupils just never failed to floor him. He did not know how she felt about him, but his love for her grew leaps and bounds. He learned that she was very traditional, loved her family and would not even think of doing something that might disappoint them. He also realized that she came from an extremely well off family. She had no necessity to work or even study for that matter.

Kenneth was quite the opposite, he wasn’t penurious and impoverished, but he could not afford the luxurious life and be carefree about what is next. He had to start supporting his family soon and had to work his ass off for a good few years to get settled with a nice decent setup. Naturally he had his apprehensions. He thought at great lengths about all of these, because he knew she would think about all of this.

Giving himself strength that he would manage whatever may come, he decided to the next big thing. He did not plan anything special. Though they knew each other very well, he had his jitters which are inevitable to every single man who is in the advent of proposing to his lady love. He did not write any special lines to woo her. He did not even plan on the right place. He just waited for the right moment, the time when he felt was right.

It was a Wednesday afternoon, nothing prominently spectacular, just a hot afternoon and they were having lunch. He said Hey Annie and she was busy fighting the noodles that were dangling out of her mouth. She absent mindedly acknowledged him. He again called out her name, for her to raise her head and look at him. She did so and made a cute expression with her eyebrows, unable to talk, signaling him to go on. He casually and calmly told, “I think I am in Love with you”….paused and with a more firm tone said, “No, I actually am pretty sure, I Love You Annie”. She was taken aback to hear that all of a sudden out of nowhere, that too in a very inappropriate place. She knew he would propose, but she definitely had no clue that it would be this abrupt. She had never dreamt of a filmy proposal, but also she never imagined it to be in the college canteen while having instant noodles. She definitely liked him, but dint know how to react at that awkward moment. She was just staring at him, and smiled coyly and that said all. Kenneth was ecstatic. He wanted to jump and shout and run till his legs would carry him. Thousands of emotions just rushed to his heart. He felt like he was the happiest person in the entire world at that moment. Everyman feels alike, when his love accepts his love. He was smiling widely, the blush distinctly evident in his bearded face. The Wednesday was still ordinary, but not anymore for Kenneth. He did not know what to do next. He got up all excited and simply left, the blush and happiness completely overflowing. The cute little humble love that just set sail had a steady voyage. They had their own lovely moments, small arguments and silly fights which eventually bonded them more and everything was just perfect…...

A year passed by and they were going to finish college in 6 months. The past apprehensions came into thought, not for Kenneth, but for Annie. Some serious talking took place. Annie was very very very sure that their family would not approve of him, the reason being their deeply devout family background. She was also certain that she would be married to, in a couple of years or three, maximum. And that time was definitely not suffice for Kenneth to develop a repute position for himself, to ask her hand in for marriage. These were all very practical issues they were bound to face in the near future. And being the practical couple themselves, they wanted to talk through and arrive at something congenial. This is where they started breaking. Kenneth tried his best to infuse some hope into their withering relationship, but Annie was very pessimistic about the outcome. She thought it was best to part ways now than later. Kenneth pleaded that at least they would give it a try, but Annie wanted to avoid much worse pain later on. Both had their point, in the end Annie succeeded……

She stopped texting and meeting him, and also asked Kenneth to do the same. He couldn’t. How can I ever stop loving a person who meant everything to me, How can anyone do that? He asked himself filled with devastation. He was raged with agony. He had so many questions to which not a single soul had answers. He knew she would feel the Annie. He cried thinking about her and for her. He was mad at her for being a coward but still loved her more than the madness. He was angry at the stars, god and fate. He asked them, “Why did u make me see her, fall madly in love with her, her with me? Why did u create some delightful memories that we can never forget? Why are you making us endure such pain? He asked these weeping helplessly…..

Few Months Later…..

The sultry afternoon sun was slowly descending, kissing bye to yet another selfless day. The partial orange-ish sky, the serene winds, birds scurrying back to their nests and the pale abstract beauty of the pebbles beneath were accompanying Kenneth and the gorgeous lady by his side, as they were strolling in a neighborhood park. They were just taking a walk, a walk filled with tranquil silence. The woman beside Kenneth was the answer for all the questions he asked the stars, god and fate.

She went through everything that Kenneth did the previous year and, so many years prior to this. She had stayed beside him at all times. She laughed with him, shared with him, fought with him, and wept with him. It is just that she never failed to wipe his tears. Kenneth was the same with her. They shouldered along whatever the case might be. Kenneth knew he wouldn’t have come out of the mess he was in, if it was not for her.

As he strolled along watching the abstract pebble pathway, Kenneth had no clue about how is fate with Annie would pan out. He did not even think about what the stars had in store, he was much less bothered. But he thanked god from the bottom of his heart, for he knew everyone wouldn’t be as lucky as him to be blessed with such a friend, with such a soul mate. They never felt as conventional lovers, but loved each other so much. They were totally selfless, when it came to the other. They were more than friends, they were soul mates.

On that sultry day in the park, Kenneth realized this, “Having a soul mate was not always about love and one would find it in friendship too”.

RAINING TEARS

Akil, Inga va da (come here) shouted his mother on top of her voice for the umpteenth time, from inside the kitchen. It was probably the second or third time did Akil actually hear that feeble squall. He never paid much heed to his mother’s call. He was busy playing with the wet soil in the garden, which was a result of yesterday’s rain. He was in his own fantasy world, talking and playing with his mini sand creations, which existed only in his world.
Akil is 5 years old. He is this cute, chubby little guy, whose cheeks, almost everyone, wants to pull and which when done, frustrated Akil every single time. He was the kind of kid, who no one could even have the slightest thought of hating. It was a Thursday and all schools were declared holiday because of yesterday’s torrential downpour. Akil was one among several thousands of students, who were extremely delighted due to the day off. Even though he is just five, and doesn’t have even the slightest clue of how it rains. He knew for sure that, heavy rain could get him a day off from school and he could play with those wet soil in his garden, which he loves doing. He looked up at the sky, time and again, innocently hoping, whoever is up there would pour out water again, tonight.
His mother’s umpteenth call almost doubled and Akil finally heard it for a good enough fifth time. He got up to leave inside with a smirking face. He strolled into the house leisurely looking for his mom. Those small feet and even smaller palms were full of dirt and he kept moving around unmindful of all that. He finally found his mother in the Bedroom and he went near her. The very second his mom laid eyes on him, did it strike him suddenly, that he should go and get himself cleaned real soon. And as the thought came rushing through, he just saw his thought transforming into words, which came right out from his mothers mouth. This was exactly what he dint want to happen. He sheepishly ran into the washroom and started playing with the water there, repeating the first two lines of his current favorite song.
The phone rang and his mother picked up, while Akil came running behind creating footmarks all the way….
*******
The ground was sordid with blood stains. For as long as the straining eyes could see, there was no pleasant scene. It was nothing short of complete chaos. He was laid on the ground, hurt, bullet wounded, bleeding and hoping for help or quick death. No man who is afraid of death can make for a good soldier and he was one hell of army man. His eyes pleaded the mind that it shall be closed but the mind resisted. He hoped help would come, but soon realized it was too late. He saw buildings ablaze, some partially worn down and the rest hanging on without any bolster. He saw so many bodies like his, just lying there like garbage. After few minutes, he saw people emerge out of their half dazed houses. He realized it was ceasefire and also knew he couldn’t be saved even if help arrived any soon. He saw people wailing, and praying god with mixed emotions of pique and despair. He saw people yelling out for their loved ones. Some were pulling out people from under mounds of debris. Some were carrying their wounded loved ones on their back. They helplessly longed for medical help which they never got. He seriously doubted the existence of god, for he firmly believed no one could just look at those completely lost people and simply do nothing.
He was seeing the battle ground as his end was nearing. He remembered all that he was as a kid, as a teenager, his decision to join the army, families retaliation, his training camp, the pleasure and pride he got when he said he was a comrade-in-arms fighting for the country, and finally his family. He envisioned his lady love for one last time. He vividly remembered the scene, when he held his baby boy in his hands and decided to name him Akileshwar(King of all) . Inadvertently, tears started pouring down his cheeks. He knew quite well those tears were not due to the bullet. These were something else. A juxtapose of thoughts, emotions and memories just appeared before him and for all of which his tears were the only answer.
*******
Akil came running and hugged his mother from behind and asked if it was his dad. Tears just flowed down his mothers cheeks. She didn’t know what to tell him. All of a sudden her entire life lost its meaning. Akil saw his mom crying. He obviously had no clue of what was happening and suddenly his attention shifted outside, as rain apologetically poured down for innocent Akil….

The Other Side

It had just finished raining. The sky was pitch dark with black clouds just hovering over and impeding the moon and stars from the night sky. The roads were wet. The street dogs were smitten by the harsh rains and were curled up under the chassis shelter of the cars. They had no plans of venturing out. The streets were dimly lit up by the street lamps, most of which were just flickering for life but failed trying. The wet tar shone back brightly at the sky, reflecting it’s strong hard nature. After striving the tormenting endeavor of the ruthless skies, it just smiles back at it with complete confidence asking for more. The always busy road was still and calm. The silence that filled the air was horrific. The occasional sound of the wind complemented the silence and made it worse

It was a long straight road that just curved on to it’s right and the winding path straightened and continued in a straighter line as if it was never ending. There was a small shelter on the verge of the curve, in a dark corner. It was just a projection from a temple wall, A dark yellow color polythene cover supported on a pair of dark brown wooden logs. The sheet was partially filled with water due to the rain, the logs were drenched. Under this micro shelter was a man…

He was covering himself with a thick black rug. It was only a few days old, but still, offered minimal resistance against the cold. He thrived hard to withstand the chillness in the air. He couldn’t sleep. He had a dark brown complexion and grew a thick beard that was just about to grow past his face and downwards. The hair on the head was equally dense and was messed up by the wind. He was least bothered. Beneath the black rug was a loosely worn pale white shirt. It bore no holes but was pretty much archaic. Underneath was a bluish green lungi over which the shirt just wavered. There was a pair of hawai’s beside him. He was sitting on a pale yellow bamboo mat and his white cotton shoulder- sling bag did the job of cushioning his head.

He couldn’t sleep. He sat, partially resting his back on the wall, his hands curled around his knees. He was oscillating back and forth in this position, his eyes wide open and staring at the dark emptiness. He was beautifully camouflaged in the surrounding dark environment. He was able to see both the roads that continued away from the curve. It was deserted, dark and wet. Few minutes passed by and he heard a vehicle approaching towards the curve. Few seconds passed, and he could see to his left, the bright yellow light from the distant approaching vehicle. It was accelerating fast. It was a Black Scorpio. He was able to see even the registration number, thanks to the minimal scattered light from the fog lamps and the head lamps. It was inching closer and slowed down to negotiate the leftward curve…..

His hand went to his waist and he drew out a black pistol. He got up swiftly and simultaneously loaded the gun. He was barely visible to anyone. He had sharp vision. He aimed and shot at the front alloy wheel, perfectly striking the MRF rubbers. The car made a huge screeching sound. Within seconds, another bullet was fired at the rear wheel, but this time, it was from a different gun belonging to a different person. He fired from the opposite side and from a higher altitude. The car just skidded and turned almost close to ninety degrees, towards it’s right before it came to a stop.

Our man, was already walking towards the car, and as soon as the car came to a halt, he raised his hand, exactly in-line with his shoulders, steady and cool, paused just for a few split seconds, and fired two bullets in quick succession. Each claimed a life; one that of the driver and the other that of Raj Murugan. During those few split seconds he paused, he fixed his gaze right on the eyes of Raj Murugan. He saw fear, He saw that Raj was baffled. Raj dint know what was going on, how it all happened in a matter of 2 – 3 minutes. But soon, his eyes clearly understood that his end has come;

Raj was the most notorious criminal. There were several cases on him on almost all sections of criminal offence. He had the guts, energy and all that it takes to lead such a life. He ruined the lives of several other people directly or in-directly. He disrupted peace, established arrogance and created fear. He was young, aged just around 35 years. He was fair, tall and had a well-toned physique. He built this black empire of his in a breathtaking pace. He grew so fast. What made him do all this, is an entirely different subject, but he turned into someone totally dark and evil. He was supported by so many people in his journey, all powerful people for their selfish desires. Raj knew very well his end would be something like this, only that he dint expect it this soon. That’s why he was never surprised as everything happened. He was witty enough to guess pretty soon what was happening. And as soon as he guessed, he was proven right.

Soon five people from their hideouts surrounded the car. It was 19th April, half past midnight. A new day has just begun, and people would soon have a sigh of relief.

                                                        *********

All news channels carried this incident as their headlines. It was a long planned and perfectly executed police encounter. The man who was behind the operation was all over the channels, attending press conference and receiving accolades. He was the man under the polythene shelter, covered in a black rug; Mr Senthamizhan, Asst Commissioner of Police and an encounter specialist. He along with his team of 5, worked day and night on this operation for almost 6 months, collecting all possible info on the deceased. His son was proudly watching his dad, his face gleaming with complete happiness.

And on the other side, there was this young boy, about 5 or 6, who was watching TV along with his mom, and was so excited on seeing his dad Mr.Raj Murugan. He showed to his weeping mom, with complete innocence and excitement his dad’s photo appearing on the television. What he would grow into in future, only time knows...

A WONDERFUL DAY AHEAD...

He wore a pure white shirt and dark blue denims. He was about five foot eight inches. He had a broad forehead, clear face, dense hair which danced up and down as he walked forward. The light beard left untrimmed was distinctly visible on his wheatish skin. He was walking towards her. It was Shiv. “How could I ever forget that face?” She thought. He kept coming closer and closer and her nervousness grew with every step of his. She could feel her heart beat climb. It was quite fast and out of her control. Finally he was there, right in front of her. There was less than a foot’s distance between them. He caught hold of his breath. He was rock solid, muscular and well built. He had some kind of magic spell that his eyes alone spoke. With that magical spell, he looked into her eyes and she was completely lost. “Every girl would be”, she thought. He came as close he can, and there was no more room. Anxiety spread like a fire inside her and she was almost out of breath. She just loved his presence more than anything else, even more than her own self. What she feels like when she is with him is like how the sky feels, when the sun kisses her good morning every dawn. Only the sky knows how it feels. It’s the same here. It is not something to be written, read and comprehended. It has to happen to you, to know what it is. “It’s amazing just to have the feeling”, she thought to herself.  He gave her so that much. He too felt the same with her. His life, after it became theirs, had a lot of change. He was madly in love and did everything for her.

Shiv just leaned forward and gently kissed her on her forehead and that very instant, waves of mixed emotions just ran all over her body. He came further down and her phone rang. She pushed him away mischievously and attended the call.It was her mom and she had to leave...

Soon they were cruising on Shiv’s bike. The evening air just rushing through her duppatta covered face. She hugged him tight and chatted all way through.  He used to pick her from work almost every single day and they would go somewhere or he would just drop her near her house. They worked in different offices, but on the same complex. That’s how love nurtured. The complex was the trump card to the cupid win.

It was just another fine day and they went to a small park nearby, their  favo spot among all other places, just to spend some time together  filled with silly chatting(s) , small fights and  lots of love. Their wave lengths matched in perfect frequency.

Shiv  told her that he had to make a presentation  of his new marketing strategy in a conference this weekend in Banglore and that,  if it gets a good response from the company heads, his promotion would soon be on the cards. She got excited on hearing the news and wished him all luck. She knew how eagerly he waited for this day. She wanted to be beside him on the big day and he also wished the same. She made some excuse at home and they were all set to leave the following Friday night.

It was Friday evening and she was getting her things packed.  The land line in her house rang and her mother picked the call. Soon, she yelled her daughter’s name aloud and was in total tears. She took over the phone and learned that her father had met with a tragic accident and was admitted in ‘Govt General Hospital’. She was in total shock. This news came from out of the blue. She was perplexed and knew she could not go with Shiv. She immediately hailed an auto and rushed to the hospital along with her mother. On her way, she called Shiv and told him what happened. He said he would be there in no time. She talked him through and told him not to come. She politely told him to relax and that she would take care of everything. He wouldn't budge, and he came to the hospital before her. She introduced him to her mom as her friend. “Ahh…What a time for introducing her man” she thought. The condition of her father was critical and they decided to shift him to a private hospital for better treatment.

She finally managed to convince Shiv  to go to Banglore. She managed this by threatening him, saying that it will be the end of their relationship, if he doesn’t make it to the conference. She dint want him to miss this opportunity. He knew it was a loving threat and finally gave in. He walked down the ramp to the exit. He stopped, and turned to wave her bye and she looked into his magical eyes lovingly and said to it that she would handle everything. He hated himself for leaving her in such a bad time.

He boarded the train on time and spoke to her frequently on the status of her father. She had transferred him to a private hospital and he was responding well to the treatment given. He was relaxed on hearing . She was too tired and slept the night off in the hospital. The following day, she got up and checked on her father, He was still unconscious. She checked her phone, No texts. She just let it pass and came to the waiting hall in the hospital. The television had “Times Now” running and she was least interested to know what was happening in the world around her. She thought of grabbing a coffee and went to the canteen. She settled on a chair and started sipping her coffee. The television had the same channel running and she was left with no choice but to watch that.

She saw the headlines and was for a second taken aback. She looked engrossingly on the television screen for some time. And then, she just prayed to god that whatever she was seeing was false. She could not help, it all has already happened.  All the A/c compartments of the train that left to bangalore the previous night had been caught in fire due to some short circuit and the coaches were completely burned down. The survivors were none as the incident took place in the night and almost everyone were asleep to realize they were on fire. The rescue operations were going on full swing and no survivors were found till then.

Her eyes were fixed on to the screen. She couldn’t believe all off this was happening. She was depressed, lost, sad, and angry. Tears flowed down her eyes unknowingly. She had lost all hope. The world around her ceased to exist and she fell down then and there. She was rushed to the general ward and administered drips.

She felt a hand touch her shoulder. She opened her eyes to face the textured blue color wall. She turned to look at the clock. It was 4:05 AM. She heard a soft voice “Hey Shivangali, Are you all right?”.  She then gently removed his hand from her shoulder and turned back. ” I am fine Arun” she said. She turned right to see her 2 year old son sleeping innocently. She then got down from her bed for some water. While walking, these words of Shiv was just lingering in Shivangali’s mind “Whatever happens, Life has to go on”. She drank some cold water and looked into a wall hanging picture of her hubby and her son; One amazing reason for which she is still breathing in this world. She thought about destiny and how cruel god was with Shiv and, she hated God for that. Once again those words lingered in her mind “Whatever happens life has to go on…”

She got up, went back to bed and lay awake till the sun rose, for she knew a wonderful day was waiting for her as it had begun with a wonderful person...

She knows it all....

The time was dusk and the sun was going to perform it’s duty to the other half of the world very punctually as usual. The waves seemed a bit more aggressive than normal and increased it’s aggression as it lost the sun. The sky was bright orange in color, and the colors just scattering away unevenly to give out the dark. The distant ships moving slower than the oldest tortoise and the birds above flying swiftly back home. One another hot sunny day of the monsoon is in the verge of ending. This scene is being witnessed by people from every walk of life. Some people come here without any thoughts and walk back with their heads full, Some people come for joy, Some for sorrow, Some for anger, Some for failure, Some for silence, Some for the air, Some just for a good ride, Some for love and Some even without any specific reason. This place has seen everyone, right from the richest of rich to the poorest of poor.

Just imagine how much she knows ……. she knows that giving lakhs and lakhs of money to a single engineering seat is a total waste and she also knows that people get to know this damn simple straightforward truth only a year after they end up paying that voluptuous amount and never before. Perhaps she even knew about the placement eye wash. Arrrghh!! GOD, A guy today feels on top of the world bagging an IT job which pays him three lakhs per annum. He feels he has at last been recognized for his hard work in learning mechanical engineering for the past four years. Now just hold your breath here, he gets fired at the end of his second year in job, and that is when this great truth dawns on his mind; He has paid six lakhs in cash and four “never-coming-back” years of his life to do what ?? Yes, To earn back the six lakhs his dad paid four years ago. She knows all……

She even knows the exact bank balance of the country’s top most political big-wig, whose house would most probably be facing the sea, somewhere along her long shore. Today’s corruption, the people’s mindset, just almost everything. She also knew for sure that congress would have never won the Delhi elections. Ahh!! That was a cake walk prediction. Almost everyone knew that, even the congress. But even she herself was a little taken aback when congress offered it’s support to the AAP (This, I personally guess, even the congress dint know, till some MP spoke it out without his own knowledge). She has seen all of these dirty politics for years after years. She cried and wept, when her own sons were brutally killed right on her very own lap. She was surging up with anger and could not accept the fact that the tragedy was caused by the same kind (humans). She never understood how the game of politics worked out, where innocent men get killed for selfish reasons of a very few people. She just watched all of this….

She knows that Indian cricket performs drastically well only when it is playing in India. It also knows that people curse the players for their embarrassing ‘away’ loss and forget it the next moment they win a series at home. She is also quite sure that we are never going to win any hockey tournament in the immediate future except maybe if Shah Rukh Khan goes on to make a “Chak-de 2”, or if Rajnikanth decides to play hockey.

She knows that the purest love is that of a mother to her child. She also knows all the just- for- say words of love of others to “woo” and get “wooed”. She knows the love of an old man for his wife. She knows the people’s love for money. She knows the value of money. She knows it’s completely valueless. But she senses that everything happening around is just for this valueless piece of something. And do you know how she knows all this?

It’s because she has laughed with the happy beggar, wept along with the multi-millionaire, lived along with the cherished memories of the dying man and slept listening to the lullaby of a mother.

Are we on a high?

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 40; the fortieth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton. The theme for the month is "MAKE A WISH"

Dark sky, deserted road, dim street lights, dull stars, slight drizzles, two pairs of legs walking hastily wanting to get back home as soon as possible. There is just this occasional swish of vehicles and the gentle touch of the drizzling rain water blended with the cold wind. The desperate eyes of the ageing man look through those old-fashioned spectacles in shear hope of hailing an auto or bus to head home straightaway. All this tensity and tautness is because of this beautiful young girl by his side, his daughter. The nervousness of the old man is that of every single father in this world.

They are pretty late and they are very much aware of it. The gorgeous girl has this instinctive sense of safety shimmering in her eyes. The presence of her childhood hero right beside her gives her the strength, but the fact that she is no more in her childhood, keeps sending a chill down her spine. Time is moving at snail’s pace and the road ahead looks ever ending.

The beaming headlight of a fast approaching car passes them, comes to a halt and returns back. The stench of booze and cigar fill the air. Fear builds up along with tension and sweating accompanies. They continue to walk as fast as their legs could. The car moves along, keeping pace and the men inside start to verbalise filthy comments on the girl. As feared, the men get down and start walking along with the duo. One just pulls the girl aside and the other kicks the old man right on his chest bringing him down. The helpless old man pleads them to leave his daughter. They do not even pay an ear to his plea. Driven by alcohol and mad-man desire, they just beat down the old man till his cry of love stops.

The girl is in total state of shock. Things she never would have even dreamt were happening right in front of her eyes. She was down there, totally helpless. They were five men against her. There was no question of her fighting back. That was simply impossible. There were no heroes down there to fight and save her. They strangled her into the car and sped away. She was forced to succumb. She had no choice.

All those memories just came before her eyes. Her childhood, Her first day in school, her first cycle, her first friend, her birthday celebrations, hangouts, her college days, her first crush, her first proposal, and one person she loved the most in her life; her mother. All those moments of happiness, sorrow, joy and embarrassment flashed before her eyes in a jiffy and vanished. She cried so loud. She fought knowing very well that she was going to lose. She was in total anger with god, for she had done no sin in her life to deserve such a thing.

She had just one thing in her mind when all of this was happening. Just one thought prevailing over everything else. Faith overcoming anger, she made a wish. She wished not for herself but for every other women in this world. She wished that none of them, in their entire life, must go through what she is undergoing right now. She just wished.

When will that humble wish become a reality or will it ever?

THE 'SMART PHONE' WORLD

Read E-mails, Post, like, comment and chat on facebook, Tweet to the world and get to know what the world tweets, Skim through the newspapers without actually having one in your hands, run miles and miles and miles and miles by performing just a mere swish of your finger, know the scores, get to know the happenings in  this ever-evolving world. Empowered with the 3G tech and making never imaginable things  possible on that tiny little (Okay, most of the time it’s big) Smart phone of yours. All this is possible, not only because of the courtly cultivated smart phones of today and the blindingly fast 3G network. There is one another major player apart from them, who has made all of this a reality. And that player is named “ANDROID”.

I really can’t, even in the wildest of my dreams predict or foresee, what all I’ll possess, a good twenty years from now. My father never even knew there would be a thing like mobile phones in the future. Common yaar, “How will you carry something as big as a phone (landline) in your pocket??” would have been his immediate thought. Having a landline gave people so much pride amongst their neighbors. It was all banished one fine day, when The ‘Ambani brothers’, the revolutionary men, decided to sell cell-phones the size of a mere visiting card, for a mouth dropping 500 bucks. And like all other successful business biographies this too has got this unanimous last line - “the rest is history”. Almost every single person had a mobile soon. The cell-phone era had just begun. And I guess I was in 5th or 6th grade when all of this happened. So this is how generations have grown- Drastically.

Travelling with this trend, Some genius, somewhere, had ideas unlike my dad and yours and thus we are having in our hands what are called Smart phones (I was very lazy to google out the inventor of Smart phones, if you by chance know him, then he is that genius I am talking about) This is where our major player comes in. This small green colored droid makes wonders happen to that little device of yours and as a result, it addicts people to it, lures them and bounds them. That’s what technology is doing. Maybe they named it ‘android’ with a cunning wit. Android actually means, robot with a human appearance. The pun here is, we human are those robots. And that’s because, most of us do exactly what it wants us to do; “Use them”. Rightly so, we use them so very well and indeed let us being used by “I don’t know who”. But we all know one thing for sure, We have made android an instant hit.

Of course, it has its own share of advantages. Every technology has. The sad part though is that mostly the disadvantages somehow or the other manages to take over the advantages. The technology is in no way responsible for such an occurrence. It’s we who are making this happen knowing that it is very much happening. If you are someone who owns a smart phone and you are in no way addicted to it, meaning

Ø  You can very well live without your smart phone for just one single day.
Ø  You don’t carry it always with you, wherever you go (if you just know what place I actually mean here)
Ø  You don’t check it every half an hour for a notification from facebook.
Ø  You don’t just take it out of your pocket, unlock it and lock it again, without knowing for what fu*king reason you just did that.

I think satisfying these four conditions will undoubtedly qualify you for the non-addicted list. If you are one such, then, Hats off to you, you are one of a kind.I am pretty sure the ‘non-addicted’ list will have very poor numbers.I personally believe that there is only one way to become a non-addict. And that is, not trying out a smart phone at all in the first place, not even once.

So getting back to the majority addicted fellow mates, to make our life’s much more worse,  there are new mobile phone companies cropping up almost every day. Thanks to Indian politics, At last you have managed to inspire someone. What does a confused humanoid (that’s us) do something at this stage?
The answer is, ”just sit back and wait till some genius invents something much cooler than this ;)”

Till that stay addicted, or try inventing the cooler one !!

Cheers ;)

BEING HUMAN

Holy places of pilgrimage strikingly posing like the remains of a deadly battle, Corpses afloat in the sacred river waters,  Stranded people everywhere,  Rice and Roti being sold at completely in-human prices.  The Helpless government coping up with the job of helping the helpless people, The ever un-lit heroes raising-up to the brave task once again, Those innocent people having a strong delusion of the existence of the almighty, The justifiable questions having no proper answers. All these are a cumulative collections of the much happening part of today‘s India. The Tsunami’s had done this earlier, The Gujarat quakes much before that. This act of god never demands an explanation nor can it be given a fitting one.

Now, Indian politics never fails to put up a great show. And here it is in full swing:

Mr. Modi is busy  carrying out the Rambo act saving only the Gujarati’s, which is because the congress ruling Uttrakandh’s  CM refuses to accept the rescue helicopters sent by the BJP-ian. And let me make it clear, I am not here supporting BJP or Modi here. I am pretty much sure that they too (BJP’S) would have done the same thing, if say, the floods had occurred in Gujarat. They never have in mind they are Ind-ian’s at the first place. They are politicians, they should never have those feelings.

The silenced headman does what he does best; maintaining the prolonged silence. I hope you would have guessed by now the person I am talking about. The act of condemning an incident is what they all do so damn perfectly, and rightly so is the case here too.

Ooh !  Common yaar, this is Indian politics. What else do you expect?

These men deserve much more than a salute. I don’t know what, but they do deserve something better. The brave acts they pull off to save people they never have met before is nothing but pure love for humanity. Their efforts have always been right up there and they deserve total respect for that alone. The exceptional people in our country are never given the right place they deserve. Be it the farmers who sow and reap under the hot sun, or the jawaans who live out the icy nights camping in virgin lands to protect the million fellow countrymen. They are never given the right place.

The media glare is slowly fading out of this entire issue and they are busy focusing on the humiliating defeat of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federrer and Maria Sharapova, The downfall of the Indian rupee, The  bizarre decision of DMK garnering the support of the congress for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls and many more.

Slowly people will start to forget the Uttrakandh floods which is very natural. No matter what, life just has to move on. Before just forgetting and moving forward, one has to imagine for a few minutes the life of all those homeless and landless people.  Even there, life just has to move on. But it is easier said than done. This is where the real help must be given. There are several out there lending out financial help and NGO’s doing the manly service. If not all those, let us at least pray and wish for them a prosperous life and try being human!

Schooling is done ! So, What next ??

Please god do bless me, for tomorrow is 9th may, the dreadful day. These recurring words year after year after year, bring about several emotions for the next few days. "Pass" "fail" "toppers" "school" "excited" "unexpected"  "satisfied" "cheerful" "disappointment" "suicide" blah...blah...blah are a great catch in the newspapers for the coming days. All is well until the results are out.

So, what after this ?? What is this utterly nonsensical question you are asking ??? ENGINEERING it is, of course !! This is where almost everyone fails, I being one among those several.

One thing is very clear from this

* All those medical and arts college students, I don't think this piece will be of any use to you.( i doubt if it ll be of use for the rest too ) .So I suggest you just close and continue your work.

For the majority rest:

Engineering degree is almost like a morning newspaper, Almost everyone has one today and anyone can have one tomorrow. Just one major difference, the former comes at an astounding price but values much less, whereas the latter is exactly the opposite. Oh yeah, I get it. It's a bit too exaggerated.

But, the exaggeration is something I was compelled to make. It's the unfortunate reality of today. Engineering is something that's lost it's core purpose today. Most colleges offering engineering courses themselves do not know what engineering is. Pity us, we follow the same path.

Engineering college is never like how it is in "Minnale" or any other movie and you are no "Madhavan" or "Remma Sen" . That's cinema. It's fake , every single frame of it is. If you have any such idea of a college like that, then it is always one that belongs in your dreams. Engineering colleges of today try teaching you almost everything except engineering. If you are really interested, you have to learn it yourself, and that's how engineering is.

Then comes the biggest foul play - "Placements". This is where your beloved parents fall. A job even before you get your newspaper, err...sorry, your engineering  degree. Well, what's the use of a mechanical or civil engineer getting placed in TCS or CTS ?? That would be the most bizarre thing to happen. But just look at the beauty here, almost no one is bothered. You will be on their payroll for a maximum of 2 useless years of your precious life. After that ?? Well we never want to think about that now.

Take up engineering, not because your friend has, not because there are 500 and odd colleges offering engineering, not because your dad and mum told  you to. Take it up, if you are really interested. And still, you will have to learn it yourself. because that's what it is. And for the rest, there  are tons and tons of things out there. Try out and do things you love to . Photography, journalism, statistics, music, arts, food, travel, writing and there is a long list waiting to be explored. Just two request's

  • Firstly, Don't make any other stuff as famous as engineering of today. Engineering itself is more than sufficient.

  • Secondly, Don't even try considering cricket as an career option. Almost entire India is playing it today and it's equally dangerous as engineering
Hmm....YOU are absolutely right,  These are exactly what "Aamir Khan" told in "3 idiots" and "Vijay" tried telling in "Nanban". So what new have i done here ?? I have just wasted 5 minutes of your facebook-ing time, trying to tell you things you are very much aware of already. Well, here it is ......

What  if you are not good at anything at all ????  Well, you need not worry, You are a lucky guy.You have this wonderful, priceless path. Jump straight into politics, no turning back, every other guy will be under your control. And how is that possible ???

It is because of this simple know worldly fact;

Almost none will do what "Aamir khan" or "Vijay" or several others tried telling .They will nevertheless fall into engineering and you'll most probably be owning an engineering college.....And that's how it is !

Long live Indian politics - jai hind

DISTRACTING DISTRACTIONS !!

OooH ....What a woman !!!! .....Sexy song on the television...... How much likes would i have got for that pic i uploaded last night ??? ....Will she text me ??  Is He in love ??? How much arrears am i going to end up with ??  What if i am not able to clear them at all ??  ...... Will India win the series ?? Will MAN-U beat REAL MADRID ?? How am i going to convince my dad to get a smartphone ??? How cool 'll it be if i somehow succeed in convincing him ??? Will i ever have a girlfriend ??? What plans this weekend ???
Who's b'day is up next ?? So, Where is the party ?? Which movie this Friday ??? And millions of other such stuffs...

One unknown genius somewhere has deliberately managed to bring all of the above said stuffs under a single, decent, demarcate phrase and entitled it "DISTRACTION" .  Ahhh...GOD !! How much distractions he would have had in achieving this mammoth task, only he knows. Well, I had a bloody lot of distractions before completing the first para itself, Which i think has eventually distracted me to write this piece about that cool guy himself (Mr.Distraction).

Not knowing where to begin and how to begin, i have in some such way completed the first two para's.
So now, lets get into a life of a college going teenager and see how distractions designs his life.

# Getting up extremely early on a Monday morning and without knowing what to do, does everything with such a hurry and  finally misses the bus. What's the bloody distraction here ??? ... Well facebook and late night movies and  are. You feel for it that morning, but it wins you again the following night ! Why not record notes and assignments in that list ??? Well, to answer that, i guess a very few does it the night before.... Class hours are solely meant for it and a majority do it there !

# Entering into college, we try to catch hold in sight, an immensely great looking person of the opposite sex. This one happens very rarely because,  we always find super hot chicks and handsome 6-pac guys in colleges other than ours. So we get satisfied with the "sumaar figures... and soup boys" and go on to the next phase.

# Except for the alien few sitting in the first benches, none have a clue about what is taught in the class. They are engrossed in every other thing. Sometimes even the board, but surely not about the content in it . Mind you,  i said only the aliens in the first benches, So this undoubtedly includes even the lecturer/professor handling the class. It would be quite a lengthy and lazy task to guess what everyone would be thinking. But it would, most of the time, be something i mentioned in the first para..So let's move on...

# In the lunch and tea, we usually discuss about the wandering thoughts we had in class, with our close mates and they their's . After the huge plenteous mid day meal, this is where,  "distraction" loses it's game, however hard it tries. And this is because, Even If your eyes are wide open, you are undoubtedly in deep sleep . This technique is something that's in-born and almost every student is a master. You can be distracted from that state by just one thing - "The electronic bell", which goes off at the end of the after-lunch period.

# After the college hours, the "sumaar figures-soup boys" session repeats itself once again and injects crushes invariably to random guys and girls. As a result of which, Mark Zukerbergh has become one of the richest teen and the popularity of facebook has grown to some unimaginable extent. This phase is very shortly interrupted by dinner and goes on till.....Well it depends on the individual's state. And the whole process repeats itself once again the next day.The cycle test, and the internal exams are definite preys to our protagonist. The semester too sometime succumbs. Still very few care, and rest don't give a shit about it.

Distractions are something inevitable and a life without distractions is actually impossible. They take us further ahead from tough times. They are like pills at at times, they divert us and gives us hope.Distractions are relaxers, They make us tell "there is always a next time". They do good and they F*ck up too. It all happens

This very piece on "distraction" took around 5 distracted hours to get completed and thus proving itself right,  time and again !

CONTROVERSY'S BEST FRIEND - KAMAL HASSAN

Before even starting to write this peice, i asked myself, "Do I have to spend 3 odd hours and a few units of the abundantly available electricity, to write this piece??" and this silly thought was because, this topic was on it’s maximum high a few days ago. Almost everyone wrote on it, a few cursing, a few praising, and a few even raising up. The facebook news feed’s carried only this. Every top journalist at least mentioned about this somewhere in his post. And of course, the news channels too, were on a total high on this debate, and directly proportional to it was their TRP. Such was the fan following this scenario managed to achieve, and it was solely because of the man behind this issue and his incredible brain. This disturbing thought being on for quite sometime, I just re-collected everything that was hooked up with this issue and decided to go ahead with writing it. One more important factor that made me write this was my “engineering record note”. Just the thought of that made me switch on the computer and open ‘Microsoft word’.

You should have surely guessed by now, if not, then you are most probably some guy from mars or Jupiter. To start with, ‘Vishwaroopam’ befriended ‘cultural terrorism’ on it’s way, before hitting the screens. This unfruitful friendship yielded lots of sour fruits. This friendship was not quite surprising because, controversy is a long time ally of ‘Mr.Kamal Hassan’, the man behind Vishwaroopam. One would be surprised, only if a movie of his, releases without any sort of trouble. Only the form of trouble was the curiosity quotient.

In the past, Cultural terrorism has successfully managed to bring fame to two eminent artists; The late 'M.F.Hussain' and 'Salman Rushdie'. As a result of the latter’s familiarity promotion, a book of his was made into a movie. In our case of discussion here, the protest by self proclaimed minority Muslim groups temporarily managed to “ban” the movie, thanks to the T.N. government. And the reasons they stated, were rightly unknown to themselves. Their only aim was to gain popularity, and they managed to achieve it quite efficiently.

This drama made a few things certain

#  The people of Tamilnadu will always rise up and support a great artist and his creation but never for the electricity required to watch the creation. Of course they ll swear at the theatre operator if a electricity failure interrupts their show. But never beyond that .

#  Politics can test and tease even a man like Kamal Hassan with such ease, So don’t you dare raise your        voice against issues like electricity which are concerned with politics.

# And lastly, Vishwaroopam 2, without any doubt, is going to face it's dose of trouble. As a result, the first two steps are going to be occuring once again.

The best part is, after the high dramatic fight, the result achieved was utter stupidity. A mere few dialogues were muted. And look at the brilliance here, these dialogues were very well known to the public even before watching the film, because the opposition parties told it in every media possible. What’s the point here ??   Don’t think too much, I know you won’t, but still, you can never arrive at a definite answer. Such is the beauty of this very place we live in.

After watching this mind-blowing movie, I was told by a friend of mine to write on it. As a result, I sat out patiently through my 2 hour power cut and ended up with this piece.

A tribute to God's Own Country !

The lush green mountains, the step terraced farmlands on those mountainous slopes, the narrow winding roads, fog-filled early dawn, leaves with droplets waiting for the warmth of the morning sun, The complete calmness and serene beauty, are all what this human eye could perceive sitting in a car and riding through the roads of god's own country.
It's around 5 in the morning and rolling down of the window, just rewards me with a chill breeze brushing my face violently and sending my hair up, almost immediately. The smell of rain blended with that of the sand and the malayalam language is something that is out of explanation.

On the way further, our car stops for a chayya break. The cold weather makes me shiver and cross-hands,  desperately trying to cover myself from the biting cold wind. There is just this one chayya shop open in the otherwise deserted road and we are the only customers there except for the flock of pigeons coo-ing nearby.
The chai-walla famously known here as nayar , sporting a flat streak of sandal wood paste in his forehead, is briskly onto his work. Few minutes and a couple of cars pass by, before i am handed with a cup of hot tea.My shivering hands desperately hold on to the hot glass . The hot vapor rising from the glass is eaten up by the weather almost instantly and the tea is waiting to be drunk as he too cant stand the cold . The small break ending right there, our car proceeds further.

The sunrises slowly providing the much-awaited warmth and the vehicle rides past a temple. And thank god for the small traffic, for this is where i witnessed the "bold and the beautiful"; The absolute gorgeous mallu girls in their complete traditional costume. Their wet hair fresh from bath and dark eyeliners are stunning examples of  divine beauty. The men with their silk 'mund' and the 'chandanam' are marvellous examples of masculinity. The entire place was filled up with an incense, for which i could find no words to explain. The heavenly sounds from the traditional instrument "chanda" fills the air with holiness. Time had no mercy for me and was at its maximum pace. The near 5 minute stop had loads of things to be admired and looked upon.
This place is one of nature's pet as it fills everybody with an awe. The roads are always clean, A sight of green almost everywhere, The pride in the people never too high, never too low. 'Respect'- right there and 'humility'- of course, without any doubt. All these delights make me come to this place time and again, and i thoroughly cherish every minute of my presence, in the lap of god's own country !

TOP 5 EPIC FAILS @ THE BOX-OFFICE - 2012

Almost every gen-y  is out there in streets, beaches, clubs… roaming, eating ,boozing, yelling and celebrating the last day of yet another diverse year – 2012. I was not fortunate enough though, this year, as I missed out on this great day. I was surrounded and confined by an usual companion; “boredom”. So I decided to do what I most relish, ‘watching a movie’ and at ease, nicely cushioned in my sofa sans the popcorn. and i was fortunate too, as I ended up watching a good movie.

Movies are something that connects millions of people, so why not I write a post on that??  That’s how this came up .So here you go, The 5 epic fails @ the box office – 2012.

5. SAGUNI

Having a top star, a top director, a top banner, shooting for almost 2 complete years and creating all the hype possible still failed miserably. The Tamil audiences are not such fools and proved the director totally wrong when he thought that, just by naming his lead protagonist with the names of Superstar and Ulaganayagan he could turn his movie into a blockbuster.

4. MUPPOZTHUM UN KARPANAIGAL

Getting inspired metaphorically from it’s own title, The movie is very very very very long and of course boring.  Romance-Fantasy  as it was claimed to be, failed to stir any of those hormones in it’s audience but was able to achieve the impossible and most difficult task – ‘evoking laughter’. At the end of this long movie which seemed almost infinite, the audience laughed at themselves with shame and some with anger for wasting 120 bucks .

3. THAANDAVAM

Raging anger expressed in the form of a dance art is called ‘Thandavam’ or ’Rudra Thandavam’. After  completely wasting several hours on  just thinking,  “why such a title for this film” ???, I hardly got even near to the answer. Maybe I am not intellectual enough to understand the director’s view. Well what was very much evident to my not-so-intellectual brain was that, almost everyone who watched the movie were filled with raging anger on the Actor, the Director, a few on themselves and on their friends who compelled and insisted them on watching the movie the very first day. Only later did it strike me that, maybe on knowing such an outcome well in advance, the director might have selected the title. If that be the case, then, hats off !

2.MUGAMOODI

This actor has time and again failed at the box-office. Still, this year was quite good for him when compared to the last. And I have made such a statement because, the year before, after tasting success with ‘Ko ‘ he went on to give 3 massive flops; Rowthiram, Vandhan Vendran, Singampuli. And it’s just 1 this year. Yeah yeah yeah….i hear some of you saying, ’hey what about NEP???’ Well it somehow managed to stay out of the top 5 due to some other marvelous contributions.

1.PODA PODI

This film wins the race undisputedly. Though all the above were strongly contending for the NO.1 spot, leaving me highly confused on finalizing the chronology, this came as a great relief. It was just a desperate attempt in filming. This made me think, if I could even include this film in the list as a 'film' . Then I thought, of course it has to be, films like this will never be made again ( hope so…) . And there is this Actor who thinks his films are super duper hits and he proudly takes the privilege of declaring it himself.

P.S – The views aired above are purely that of the author. If you find any of those unacceptable or totally false, I beg your pardon, you have very bad taste.

An Engineering dedication

At last it's sort of over. The bloody 1 month long, blood sucking vampire. The long sleepless nights, followed by grooming up in a record time of less than 15 minutes. The Sudden remembrance of the existence of "gods", their powers, and prayers, in the mere hope of making those powers work. The half asleep morning bus travel, where heads drop down and are up almost immediately with a sigh of frustration and fear. The small chuckles, The window glances with the book wide open facing the bus top. The temporary pause to small chit-chats and gossips, which usually develop into long arguments. All this "once a 6 month torment" is at last over and for the third time. Success or Failure, it's over and done. The hard enduring mission accomplished.

Well, if you are still not able to guess what this is about, then you are definitely a 9+ G.P.A holder in engineering and Calculus is your first love. I am very sorry to say that, you will find this piece totally fictitious and alien. So please, carry on with your browsing which comprises of 10 minute "fb-ing" and long hours of various, so called "knowledge imparting" websites, of which i have rather very little clue. For the majority others, who have made the biggest mistake of choosing engineering as your life career  and those who are about to choose the same ( unaware of the consequences of course), this piece is a dedication.

The day you are born and diagnosis-ed with a penis, you are an Engineer. If the diagnosis is not the former, then you are a Doctor. The latter doesn't work out in reality as getting a doctor seat today involves humongous monetary fund . So they too unfortunately fall prey to Engineering. A few lucky ones are an exception of course . These lucky ones have realised the truth a little bit earlier and have proved themselves right  by choosing arts, science and to a certain extent deemed engineering colleges and medical course. Once the high school is over, most of us choose engineering . "why "??  Because that's what our seniors did ;  Dat's what majority of people around are doing ; Dat's what, is hyped as the only source for landing up in hefty paying jobs; And the most horrible thing is, when we think that their is a factor of "geth" when we tell to someone "we are Engineers". Whatever be the college you choose, studying Engineering as a life course, that too in a country like India is a total futile and fragile attempt . And the reasons to justify this statement is very simple. "Engineering is completely filled up with unreasonable stuff" . It's completely boring to the core ; The purpose of learning all these will forever remain unknown, but you still got to learn it. You will have no clue what you are learning and most importantly "why" you are learning it. Whatever you do, engineering will win you demoralisingly on maximum occasions . Clearing engineering without a single arrear is itself considered a majestic task and even if you somehow manage to achieve this mammoth task, still your not assured of a  job in your core and you can never dream of high salaries.
